...you make elsewhere that the "creative class" influx drives all lower classes to deprivation on the periphery
seems either naive or self-serving to layer policies that clearly favor the elite with a veneer of progressivism
promise "we'll do better this time" so when we don't can console w/ "alas, we tried" and reap the benefits anyway
endgame of quasi-autonomous urban zones is a highly skilled elite and a massive servant class, nothing in between
compare singapore or dubai. I haven't decided whether this is desirable or not but
at least admitting "a lot of people will suffer, fuck 'em" would be more honest
