I'm an emacs+screen+stumpwm person...so 3 ways of splitting, some of which can nest...!

and have Linux in vbox which I can swipe to and from, besides the ssh sessions.

and share some folders between OS X and Linux, so I can edit under OS X, run under Ubuntu.

for me it's that everything you can do with it you can do in "tmux <verb> <args>" form from the shell

may be everything I want is *possible* with screen too but w/tmux it's all obvious and straightforward

(oh, prob should add my shell is rc so scripting is a *lot* cleaner and less bug-prone than it could be)
