horseshoe theory is stupid because it presupposes a bipolar scale but two very different things can both be bad for similar reasons

What's a good far-right ideology? AnCap?
-
I wouldn't call ancap "far-right" but I sympathize with it somewhat (a year ago I'd have called myself one, it's still the type...
-
...of society I'd probably be most suited to, but I can't see any way to make it work)
-
I tend to like a lot of reactionaries though I wouldn't call myself one either, the most specific I get is "esoteric right-winger"
-
don't think we have tomorrow's ideologies yet, not sure what they'll look like, but I have a good feeling abt where they'll come from
-
I'm still a holdout for good old fashioned crypto-anarchy (which is kind of like AnCap)
-
it is still dear to my heart :)

Well, 'totalitarianism' escapes the similarity IN the totalitarianisms here, like nationalizing industry, worship of state, etc.
-
they start from very different axioms about the nature of humanity and the world, and have very different goals for society
-
and yet, worship of state and nationalizing industry.
-
it's a red brown smear to crush under neoliberal materialism :P

also the "far" in "far-right" often means some sort of ethnonationalism, but one can be moderately ethnonationalist (e.g. Japan)
