tbh it's a little annoying how some people are trying to turn the inauguration crowd size into a Statement
-
-
it's just a really either ill-thought out or disingenuous point to make

sure, theoretically. but the last president I can think of that was well-liked by people on both sides was clinton
-
(and I could be wrong about that, I'm too young to remember the clinton administration personally)
-
and clinton was a southern democrat that made bipartisan policy a huge priority following the gingrich revolution
-
bush II and obama were probably about equally disliked by their opposite tribes, but nothing compares to how much blue hates trump
-
and not just him, being a supporter carries large social stigma. you aren't allowed in polite society to like literally the president

also less gov worship is exactly what people wanted, no?

"wow, the Protestants are way less opulent. Do they even have a pope? Pathetic"

Yes, but "if more people had managed to make that trip because they were so excited, it would be bad" (sez my wife, astutely)

were they actually that well-attended, though? And consider it a visual aid to his historic low approval numbers
