i like the model Haskell uses here - there's syntactic sugar, sure, but you could have got the same semantics yourself.

Haskell has so many of those "structural operators" for getting things into a certain shape. (X,) is also a favorite.

and that extends to arbitrary arity, so you can write things like `(5,,True,"haha")` and get a function to a 4-tuple.

I've always found them neat. And with a decent optimizer they are also fast.
