I don't know if you've been to a sephora or larger makeup store before, but sampling makeup is encouraged and everyone will be doing it. You won't be weird.
-
So can people just go to Sephora and say "show me what's possible?" cos that might be suuuuper useful to get started.
-
Yes totally! One note: absolutely don’t feel pressured to buy things even if they spend a bunch of time helping you. It’s their job to help and to try to hard sell you things, so just remember you don’t owe anyone any purchases.
-
also their return policy is super forgiving
-
also sephora reps aren't paid on commission
-
I might be overly sensitive to that stuff or maybe it’s a different culture in Canadian Sephora, but I do feel quite pressured to buy things after they help me out
-
I'll be on the lookout for it. I am hopefully resistent to the hard sell but it'll be stressful there
