this is extremely First World Problems but a Sephora rep scanned a bunch of products for me to look at later and I can't find them in my account anywhere now I have to try to remember the product names *and* colors

update: support says the items should be in my cart. they are not. but! I do have an email summary from them. so the mail queues worked at least :v

I would love to be a sephora engineer/data scientist. A neural network could probably invent some real freaky makeup
-
tangental but the sephora mobile app can apply makeup live to your face so you can try it in augmented reality without going to a store
-
like that's some fucking awesome tech and I bet it was built by women, because they have so many women in eng there
-
I think they’re using tech from Toronto’s very own modiface:http://modiface.com
-
Oh yeah, you're right: https://www.retaildive.com/news/sephora-virtual-artist-shades-into-cheek-color-try-on-service/444493/ … I forgot all about modiface after the loreal aquisition happened.
-
Totally one of those underrated Toronto success stories. Very useless trivia: their founder (this guy: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parham_Aarabi …) was one of my instructors in university and we invited him to our workshop at icdm last year.
