Going on my third winter with these Frye combat boots and I still can't walk more than a mile in them without taping up my heels
disappointing for sure

I paid $200 for boots I thought I would live in for 10+ years, instead they tear me up

I like walking places, I need warm boots with tread, and I'm happy to put in the care and feeding that good leather boots require. It's a shame the quality I seek can't be found with Frye.

And no I'm not going to put in the time and effort another boot hunt requires right now. I'll just keep taping my heels.

And to head off the usual: - I took them to the cobbler for stretching when I got them - I have cared for leather shoes for years - I walk a lot they should be good by now
