Just thinking about the lone conversation my mum and I have had about , in which she revealed that the sewing machines they give the queens are of a far higher quality than those on the Great British Sewing Bee. Not sure she watched the non-sewing episodes.

It's been nearly a day and I still can't get over the fact that the husband of bestselling vegetarian cook-and-tastemaker Anna Jones doesn't like aubergine.

I admitted that I'd named the visiting garden wren Christopher on the BBC.

I'd just really like to spend this evening squished into a corner of a pub, surrounded by my girlfriends, drinking a £20 bottle of bad warm white wine. I don't think I've found any part of the pandemic more lonely.

What happened to Sarah Everard has hit home hard for so many women because we make the calculations she did every day too. We take the longer, better-lit route, push the fear aside for the voice that says ‘don't be daft, you've every right to walk home alone at night and be safe’

What I can't shake with Sarah Everard is the fact that even now, after a year when I've barely seen anyone, the last words I say after seeing my friends are "get home safe". I can't stop imagining what it must have been to say that, and not get that text, because she didn't.

Been "visited" by the smallest, fluffiest, loudest wren in the garden for the past three days. Obsessed. What are the chances it's the same one?

I’m particularly looking forward to hearing all the ways various Tory MP’s did a Barnard Castle over Christmas and saw other people anyway, using excuses like “childcare” and “common sense.”
