To each their own. I don’t see why people have to force preferences at all.

Exactly. But I can't tell which side your on. Because a parent getting their son circumcised is EXACTLY "forcing a preference"

It may be true. However you gotta respect peoples choices. Cuz without choices you are forced down a narrow path of nothing of your own making. At that point we are not life. Just mindless robots.

For me, because I had been circumcised and I am the one teaching my kids hygiene in that region and potty training them, I chose to go with it, but I’m not against parents who don’t want to do it.

That tends to be the extent of logic behind circumcision. “It was done to me so I’ll do it to my son”. Followed by a few poor arguments for asthetics and cleanliness.
