Trump correctly highlights two key facts. MBS’s fight against Wahhabi extremism and his opening up of the country to female participation in a way inconceivable only a few years ago. He understands that it’s idiotic to focus on one issue only namely the Khashoggi tragedy.

Saudis have to fight against Wahhabi extremism, as they tried to blow them up. Its not a favor to us. MBS is, however lending aid to Al Qeada in Yemen. They are expanding again.

I don’t understand the emphasis on “Wahhabi” extremism in your tweet/s. From what it seems like around here that he is fighting all sorts of extremism be it sectarian or ideological.

He is so convinced that the American "elite" won't be able to comprehend the Saudi scene without the interjection of such dubious label. Any label cannot be legitimately associated with any group unless the majority of them identify themselves as such.
