Hi @aliShihabi please don't use my article condemning the killing of journalists by governments *other* that Saudi Arabia to try and mount a "whataboutism" defence of MBS and the Saudi government's murder of a man you once called your friend. #Khashoggihttps://twitter.com/aliShihabi/status/1055809095536648193 …

Meanwhile, there are thousands of cases where intel agencies DIDN’T go rogue. Btw, who controls Saudi intel-defense-Economy and practically all key agencies again?
-
Same in Saudi but some cases clearly go beyond their mandate as happened everywhere. Whoever "controls" everything does not mean is a maestro that can micromanage everything, particularly in intelligence whose principles are in the deception business to start with.
-
It takes the height of incompetence to fail intercepting so many rogue elements from so many branches, including royal court. No wonder Yemen is a total humanitarian disaster and military failure... the list goes on.

Maybe history is full rouge agencies but I've never heard of rogue: Royal court: Saud Intelligence: Asiri Foreign Ministry: Consulate Interior Ministry:Doctor Army: Air Force officer MbS close circle: Mutreb All at the same time went rogue. MbS is either incompetent or complicit

Uh, bringing up the CIA doesn't really make your case very well, because there are at least as many examples of them doing atrocious things *without* going rogue.

Wait, wait did not MBS talk to Khashoggi before he was decapitated?

If he didn't do it. And didn't know 2 planes full of his closest officers flew to Turkey etc etc then he is not fit to lead. This is not his first blunder. The world knows about Yemen etc etc.. he has a bad history already. Do the math.
-
The plan was to repatriate him, but the situation escalated into an altercation after a shouting match. The solution for Yemen is much simpler. The Houthis must forego handing the Arabian Peninsula to the pathetic Ayatollahs.
-
I know it's hard to keep up with Saudi changes to the story but..https://twitter.com/washingtonpost/status/1055767895253401601?s=19 …

As far as Yemen. I want the Houthi out but MBS bombs bus loads of kids, funerals, weddings, farms etc etc. He has made himself no better than the Houthi.

SA is defensive and mainly provides air support for the Yemenis fighting the Houthis. Thus, the targetting is provided mostly by Yemenis on the ground. Smart bombs are too expensive to be intentionally used on low value targets.

Well said
.
These stupid people are not looking for bring the criminal to justice or they care about Khashoggi.
They advantage of this tragedy story to attack Saudi Gov. -
Rubbish. Anyone who wants to attack the Saudi government does not need to go anywhere near this issue if they don't want to.
-
The hatred people can attack anyone and any gov whatever they have done to their people. You are from UK and you have a royal family as we have. As Saudis we happy to have them .
-
In my country, nothing bad happens to you if you oppose having a royal family. Could you safely say the same?
-
I have lived in the UK 2 Years and i know is a great country and great nation but if see the news about invasion Iraq and the Abogreeb prison. There are oppose and say what they want and attack Saudi in every channels. But as Saudi i am talking to you iwanna light u about saudi.
-
Apologies, I thought you were in SA. My question is, if you were in SA, would you be free to oppose the existence of the monarchy? SA is opposed, rightly, because of its various actions over the past few decades - their involvement in 9/11, their attacks on Yemen, etc.
-
Pls answer your own Q, can you? As far as i know calling for abolition of monrachy in the UK could get u a life sentence, correct me if i’m wrong. Almost nobody is interested in opposing it in SA, incl dissidents except for very few that u could count on the fingers of one hand.

Oooof this is embarassing. I'd delete this if I were you.
-
How so? He makes an indisputable point and you want him to delete it?
-
Bay of Pigs was signed off by Kennedy. MBS either gave direct order or allowed murder of JK to happen. Obviously he isnt going to step down in a banana republic like SA, doesnt mean he is void of blame and that he shouldn't be punished. He is either inept or a murderer. (Or both)
-
How have you deduced such conclusion that MBS gave a direct order? Is it an allegation backed by tangible evidence? If, would you mind presenting the evidence you claim you have? If not, why not?
-
Can you read? I said he either gave order or allowed it to happen. Doesn't mean he isnt ultimately to blame if he didnt give direct order. You can't claim you have ultimate authority then play ignorant when a high profile assassination takes place in a foreign country.
-
You can't order an assassination when it has never been done beforehttps://cpj.org/data/killed/?status=Killed&motiveConfirmed%5B%5D=Confirmed&type%5B%5D=Journalist&cc_fips%5B%5D=SA&start_year=1992&end_year=2018&group_by=year …
