It was indeed a huge political scandal. French Defense Minister had to resign. Perpetrators were caught and tried in New Zealand. Trial was even filmed against the wish of 🇫🇷 gvt. 🇫🇷 and 🇳🇿 eventually reached an agreement that led, amongst other things, to an official apology.

And Saudi is well on the way in that direction much sooner than France took action ( it took a year for France to agree). In Saudi a Minister in the Royal Court and the Deputy Head of intelligence have already been fired.

Your country sent a 15 man hit squad to your embassy to kill and dismember a journalist because he said mean things about your Prince. You have zero chance of diverting attention from that.

How about we work backwards chronologically, and touch on things, I dunno, starting this month. Then maybe we plow through to...maybe 2001, then take a quick break, and loop back on things that happened 30 years ago. Cool?

They got away with it so why can’t we? I really only hear this line of reasoning from my four-year-old.

It is not about apologizing or not; as you are pointing out France as the responsible for the Greenpeace ship bombing, would you also point out who is responsible for the killing of Jamal Khashoggi? Just do it and we wouldn’t care about their apologies should it happen or not.

This is just sad now. Your prince may have done a terrible thing to a journalist, and has done many terrible things in Yemen. Making excuses like this just makes him look guiltier.

France killed millions in North Africa. No one care and no one talked about, All what is happening now in Middle East is just a result of what colonialism did. And they completed it by invasion Iraq.
