Striking a balance on the driving project for some teaching material is always difficult. If you make it too simple to keep the focus on what you want to teach, people will be bored. If you try to tackle a bigger problem, you risk drowning in unrelated complexity.

The package registry and CI system sound more interesting, in my opinion. But as a fellow teacher, I totally empathize with the struggle of coming up with effective motivating examples.

The issue with the CI system is that most of the key pieces are CPU-heavy, which suits poorly the topics I want to cover. While the package registry has loads of unknown as there are only one or two private registry at the moment for Rust :/
