1) go with React - learn how the data flow works before you start to use flux/redux/mobx 2) typescript without any doubt. Avoid Flow. 3) create-react-app is a good starting point without spending hours on webpack config (has an option for TS) 4) join reactiflux on discord

I like TypeScript (vs JS) because it provides a bit more structure. I find React pretty easy to reason about. Eventually you can plug in Redux if necessary, but usually state management doesn't have to be all that complex.

I find it ridiculously easy to get distracted by the "next big javascript thing!" when looking for front end frameworks. Then I'm surprised how far you can get using a small set of foundational libraries.

Between vuejs and react, I found vuejs to be easier to get started, has feature parity and slightly faster.
