A regular postdoctoral position at ASIAA (like the one I have) also has a November 15th deadline. Not silly money like the EACOA postdoc, but still a comfortable living. Come work with me! If you haven't figured it out by now, I really like it here.

There's only a few days left to apply for an EACOA postdoc, which could include coming to work here at ASIAA! It pays *really* well if you're living here in Taiwan

Wow, did not see 80s luxury sedan coming back in style Now I *really* wish we'd held on to my 1986 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. Loved that car

This is a fun little example of how scientists see the world. Notice something and start wondering why it happens. And now we can crowd source an explanation.

In Taipei it's a short trip from "I'm always sweaty" to "I could really use some gloves to keep me warm while I'm working at my computer"

  9. Democracies worldwide no longer worry about angering an always-angry Beijing. This has made it easier for governments to get closer to Taiwan, a fellow democracy that knows about Chinese anger. Quotes from , ,

Wow just imagine if Republicans also felt this way about corporations lobbying against climate action and politicians shying away from the moral choice in favor of the good for business choice

I don't have many favorite exoplanets, but Kepler-167e is definitely one of them. A true Jupiter analog! And a very attractive place to look for exomoons in the future. This will be an exceptionally challenging analysis but I really hope they pull it off! It'll be huge.
