Quite the take by Munger. His two "interesting precedents" for this ban are the Chinese Communist party (lol) and the banning of trading in joint-stock companies in the 1700. Last time I checked joint stock corporations were a pretty amazing innovation!

The irony is had he gone short and covered quickly, he would've made a killing, but the put would've expired worthless!
