I disagree with your "facts" here. Mueller absolutely had full authority and responsibility to recommend an indictment but chose not to thereby leaving it up to the AG & DAG. Congress has access to everything legally available (98% of the report). Yet they do not even look

That’s not at all how I and many others read Mueller’s actual words. He makes clear he found plenty of obstructive conduct, but declines to make a “traditional prosecutorial decision” because it’s the president, and DOJ says they can’t indict a president. That’s all in there 1/2

      1. The OLC guidance was not the only or even primary reason cited by Mueller for not recommending indictment. 2. Mueller explained that Trump's actions were explainable based on the motivation that there was no underlying crime. Without intent, it would be impossible to prosecute

      3. If Mueller felt that there was a crime he could have and should have recommended indictment regardless of OLC guidance and let the AG & the courts sort it out. But, that's not at all what he did. He refused to make a determination on obstruction and left it to the AG.

      4. Congress does not act based on legal requirements and can impeach for literally any reason they want. So, if the Dems truly believe Trump is an existential threat, they are morally bound to move forward with impeachment.

50/50 they will in my view. And unless at least 4 GOP Senators vote to convict (5 if Manchin decides to save his career), then it’ll be a disaster for the Democrats.

That’s still a ways away. I’m happy to explain what Mueller actually said and did in his report, as apparently none of it got through to you guys if you can factually misrepresent what Mueller actually did and said so badly. Seriously, go read the introduction in Vol II, page 1

Let’s just be honest. You don’t give. a shit if Trump obstructed justice under the letter of the law, because there’s hardly anything he could do to make him less preferable than having bad, evil people who think like ME in power. We’re friends here, we can be honest.

No: it’s that Trump and team didn’t break the law. If they had, Mueller would have indicted everyone but Trump and named him as an un-indicted co-conspirator. There’s nothing there. He didn’t do anything wrong. He’s been slandered.

Had Mueller found even the least thing to charge them on, he would have. This is shown by his absurd process crime prosecutions he did engage in. He was out bloody minded to get Trump and came away empty.
