My motorcycle was stolen today. On Monday my car was broken into. I live in a very nice a area outside city of SF (Glen Park). Lived here 8 years with zero crime or issues. Huge bummer. Anyone else in SF seeing an increase in crime or am just having an unlucky week?

If it matters, the bike isn’t expensive at all. I’m not out a lot. Still sucks that people are exploiting this situation. Also sucks that I didn’t call the police for the broken in car because I knew our DA

Sorry to hear about your bike and car, but don't spread misinformation. The DA has prosecuted more than 80% of car break-ins presented to him. The issue is the SFPD, with a budget of $630 million, only manage to make arrests in 2% of car break-ins.

He's been explicit that any crime with a named victim is not a quality of life crime. Quality of life crimes referring to things like sit/lie ordinances, consensual sex work, public urination etc.
