He would do this for years. I remember answering the phone quite a few times and going: "Dad! Someone's dead! You gotta ring the bell!"

And yes, that was the same house with the old air raid siren on top of the roof used to alert the volunteer firefighters of the fire station next door whenever they were needed. We lived RIGHT underneath that roof and that thing going off at 3AM is one of my earliest memories.

There are so many story possibilities there IDK if I have anything really. I mean, it's totally normal for a group of middle schoolers to spend most of their time hanging out in the local graveyard, right?
-
Wait, that's NOT normal? No, seriously, tell me you learned all the cool things about ancient grave stones and grave horticulture, because that's what Tiny Me was weirdly fascinated with.

Mine is not so much a weird fact than a terrible one, but my dad was a infamous high status drug dealer who was never suspected by police bc he was physically disabled.

Oh, wow! That's... Something else.

My mom was a demographics consultant. Not super weird, but I memorized in Kindergarten how to say: "My dad is a radio announcer, and my-mom-helps-charities-raise-money-by-knowing-who-their-donors-are."
-
Her first husband worked for Billboard, and so she'd just randomly throw out anecdotes. We'd be listening to the radio and she'd say things like, "Oh, I remember this singer. He pinched my butt when I was pregnant with your brother."
