Pretty good analysis. I think it’s important that folks understand that (for channels that do use reused content) the amount their video is transformative matters. (1/2)

Ex. If you have a reaction channel and you watch music videos straight through and all you do is gasp and say “I Love It” you will probably not win YouTube’s favor. On the other hand if you pause regularly to add critical/cultural commentary analysis you’re probably in the clear.

this is soooo important. and people don't know the difference. i've had people try to compare their "ah, yes, hmm, I love it" to detailed literary analysis of anime scenes not realizing the gap between the two

Another thing: a lot of folks don’t realize that memes are in content ID just like music. If you make meme compilations you can get claimed so that the original uploader can receive their payout.
