11-16: only academic requirement is to spend time working on something you find stimulating and learning *something* + have to write reports on what you find about your interests and the type of work you like.

no math before ~11yo because math that is taught in the first several grades is trivial and, instead of spending years on it, the children should do something they are good at (learning languages) and then learn it all in like 2 weeks when they're ready

I've worked with 2nd generation mathematicians before and to them "math" isn't "math" it's just a part of English that deals with certain areas and it all flows together indistinguishably. This makes me think that if you do Math right it needn't be something so 'alien'

my dad is a PhD in math from Moscow State University and my mom has a master's in statistics :)
