Every animal does sleep though - that is accurate and it’s taught by many experts in the space (my professor in college said the same thing) - 2/3rds is a slight overestimation probably. My overall is that he is pretty accurate and you are knit picking a bit
but Walker's source says otherwise...
1/ Ok, so I read the article. Fine, it's interesting that some of the quotes and studies may not be accurate. But you failed to mention the more important studies he described which are quite definitive with hard results, it seems:
please see section 14, especially 14.5https://guzey.com/books/why-we-sleep/#appendix-common-objections …
Great article! Do you know the word count for chapter 1 of his book?
i don't but i have a good margin of error for my 4% figure in the piece
In this context, I would also like to point to the findings of my friend and colleague @qgeissmann who recently found further evidence in the fruit fly that sleep may not be as vital as previously assumed:https://advances.sciencemag.org/content/5/2/eaau9253.full …
I already mention it in section 21.3!
did you just drop a diss track on a pop science book this is incredible
