If you cast female people - or a subset thereof - as the oppressor class, you can make all the demands that male people have made throughout history (space, language, sex, reproductive labour, emotional caretaking) *and* cast it as correcting an injustice

Apart from the politics & the return to basic integrity, the other great result of this election is the massive increase in competence and intellect in the incoming Cabinet. Rebuilding the status and independence of the higher, merit-based civil service can only reinforce that.

Seeing a lot of goths about again, which is bad news. Goths are the harbinger of recession whether its the 2008 recession, the 1980s recession or 5th century Rome and the collapse of the empire. They may not be the cause but they are the warning we should heed
