Check out my performance as "Prison Guard" in the upcoming ITV drama series The Pembrokeshire Murders to see me exhibit all of my acting abilities: "walking", "sitting silently", "staring blankly" and "pushing Keith Allen". Eat your heart out, Day-Lewis.

It falls apart a little towards the end, but with an atypical chronological structure, some great visuals, the balls to take some dark turns, and a menacing performance from the always-watchable Guy Pearce, Brimstone is a really enjoyable western.

    H. P. Lovecraft's work can be hard to adapt but 2019's Color Out of Space does a decent job with one of my favourite Lovecraft stories. Definitely worth a watch. Plus a point for inclusion of Chong, although minus a point for lack of Cheech.

Happy second birthday to one of my favourite videogames / things of all time, Red Dead Redemption II. Kudos to everyone involved in the creation of this masterpiece, including and for their parts in bringing to life two of my all-time favourite characters.

Film title of the day: "Shoot in Any Direction and You'll Hit a Bastard". A short homage to spaghetti westerns, the sound design in particular stands out as impressively faithful. Worth a watch. I give it 6 bullet-riddled bastards out of 10.
