My friend (nurse) mentioned that length of stay in ICU is becoming a factor. E.g. COVID average might be 10 days vs 2 days for seasonal flu. Therefore we are more likely to fill than during a normal flu season. Thoughts from your experience?

It’s all a bunch of BS. All businesses should open up and people need to stop wearing masks. If a business won’t let you in maskless, tell them you’ll start a boycott of their business until they do.

Which is a pretty standard number. They want close to full capacity. Their goal isn’t 0% icu capacity.

Agreed. The problem is the same with Nurses as Teachers...many don't want to attend to covid patients or during covid surges. I knew we were in trouble in April when a head Nurse asked me, "why should we have to put our lives at risk?" I fainted.
