Mad online about land use. D.C. policy boss . Not paid to tweet, so DM me gossip. I see the bright and hollow sky, and everything looks good tonight.

my partner deserves a lot of credit for I think scalping tix to turnstile/ceremony last October bc I was in a strategic planning session for work when they went on sale…I just haven’t heard a band I am diehard for on the radio in like ever and tbh it is moving me!!!!

DC101 like literally played “‘the new song,’ ‘Mystery,’” from “Baltimore’s own” Turnstile and THEN “Zombie” while I was literally driving from Annapolis to SP and you bet I have not been seen like that since I was 15. Also then the radio station offered up EVANESCENCE.

I've cone-of-silenced this for uh awhile, so I am very glad that, though it's ugly, the director finally said it. And it's true: Trayon flaying pedestrian refuge islands on Instagram really did mean that DDOT has walked back what it could be doing in Ward 8.

if you're like, "but i hate ddot and the mayor and vision zero is fake," well do i have a training on how to write oversight testimony for you next week that uh doesn't have a live registration page yet. walk chew gum etc.

i looooove dunking on the not-real civic association, which deserves it, BUT support for things should not be gauged by its most feverish pitch and it always is. tell the agency they're doing the right thing right now. that will help us all in the future.

it's me, your dad, reminding you: if you tuned into the sham meeting 2nite and tweeted about it, send a nice lil message to ddot@dc.gov that's like, "bus and bike lanes are great. you should build them. thank you for dealing with unreal maniacs."

Homeowners enter into informal contracts where there is an extensive list of things you cannot do with your home in exchange for the implicit idea that your investment will be safeguarded through like restrictions on who your neighbors are and what they can do

  17. Does any city in the US have a net zero lane miles goal? Because, if anything, we need negative lane mile goals.

Apply for this if you like getting very sticky and often small but incredibly important policy stuff done, maintaining relationships regardless of how much ~access~ they get you (a bullshit concept 2 begin with), not taking credit all the time, and if you can write a good email.

You'll be managed by the inimitable . But you'll get plenty of moral support from me, like reminding you that our jobs are political and you should act like it (we're a c4). I also insisted on the winky face in our staff photo.

We haven't had a dedicated MD or VA staffer—GGWash has said it is regional, and our coverage is, but we haven't budgeted and staffed like we are. This is possible now because of fundraisinggggg. Those year-end asks really do have tangible outputs! Thank you!

Pay is $83-93K. I make $90K (started at $65K as housing program organizer, went to $72K as policy manager, just got to my current salary ~this month~). It's no private sector or D.C. government, lol, but we'll do ya better than most local nonprofits in many regards.
