    💯%, . In my district (South Brooklyn), we still have blocks without even one tree. But trees are one of the greatest single investments NYC can make to combat climate change while supporting the health and well-being of residents.

    Trees are a lot more important than many people think, particularly in cities. Besides aesthetics, trees filter air pollution, help prevent flash flooding, provide shade, absorb CO2, & make a huge difference in a city’s overall temperature.

    The reports out of Rikers right now are just so, so terrible. From our clients, from their families, from defense teams, from clinical staff, from jail staff. I don't have anything to say that others haven't already said. We just cannot do these things to people. Decarcerate now.
