    Got a chance to spend a good chunk of time chatting individually with over 20 of our teachers this last week. No two districts, schools, teachers, classrooms or students are the same. The need for differentiation is the only constant.

    - big fan of this concept. Seems important to understand and master for individuals and groups who are committed to making optimal decisions, not just signaling tribal allegiance to their club of choice.

    Is there a site out there that lets me post used items for sale on multiple sites at the same time? i.e. Ebay + Craigslist + + Facebook marketplace + Amazon + Letgo + 5Miles + OfferUp? Like a tweetdeck for selling used stuff. Managing inventory across multiple sites is a PITA.

    If you notice something at your company below standards and don't fix it or make sure someone else does, you have set a new standard. Complaining about it does not count as fixing it. If someone gets upset/tells you to stay in your lane, they've set an even worse new standard.

    I’m pretty sure 99% of my political leanings come from having lived in the Soviet Bloc. The rose-colored glasses Americans have about the USSR are pretty incredible.

    True story: circa 1985, when my mom taught piano at Rutgers (about 5 years after emigrating), a colleague at lunch gave her the "But free health care!" line re the USSR. When she described the conditions in Soviet hospitals, he accused her of channeling American propaganda.
