I can learn a foreign language or two. I can program and reverse-engineer code. And yet I fail at interpreting social cues, making eye contact, etc.

Pills don't help with that. SSRIs can fix the depression, but they won't improve communication skills. One is supposed to "just know" it, or else (s)he will be labelled "dumb"
