    In absolute shock. RIP Kobe. Was lucky enough to meet you in 2000, get your autograph and see the game where you dropped 55 on MJ in 2003. You’re a legend and I thought you were invincible. Life is so fragile. Damn. What a loss. In his post NBA prime. Had so much more to do!

    Boards should do this more! The discrepancy between how much management teams invest in creating a great team dynamic and how little boards do has never made sense to me. Creating healthy and productive relationships and teams takes work. Kudos to

    Founders get lots of feedback. Investors give lots of feedback. But in all relationships feedback should go both ways: kudos to Alex for pushing to equalize this asymmetry. If this becomes standard practice it will make boards more effective.

    Best experiment I did in 2019. I actually asked my CEOs for structured feedback on me as a board member. Sounds so basic, but almost never happens. It was one of the best things I have done in my decade+ in venture. Here is what I learned:
