I googled it today; October, 2019 - April 4, 2020 seasonal Flu deaths are between 23,000 - 61,000 in the U S. These are admitted estimates because patients may have co-morbidity explanations.

I think it is as infectious as the common cold, which is, in fact, a coronavirus. Much more lethal, and very contagious, but not 10x more contagious.
