Third party competetive league anti-cheats were of course first to go in to kernel, but it should not shock anyone that soon every anti-cheat will follow.

There are a few anti-cheats that still stick to usermode like VAC. But then again CSGO is known for being flooded with cheaters and to have fun on the higher level the usual action suggested for avoiding cheaters is "Just play faceit".. which happens to have a kernel anti-cheat.

It's bold of you to assume that infosec people understand the scene at all, they're operating under the assumption that cheats are on the level of malware, in terms of it usually not being sophisticated.
