Halloween is coming which is also the deadliest night of the year for American children under 18...because of drivers. Not because of fictional news stories about drugs in candy.

America's average cost per mile for tunnel projects isn't just higher than Japan, Germany, Chile, or Norway.
Our construction costs are higher than those 4 countries' tunneling costs-per-mile *combined*

#BurningMan created an art installation one can see from space. It's called INSANITY and included tens of thousands of people burning thousands of gallons of gas while spending up to 13 hours trying to exit the festival in 110 degree heat.

Just from what I’ve heard from parents & seen posted online in parent groups, the school transportation issues have not improved yet. There’s a lot of information & advertisements about how important attendance is though 😑

“We already had 400 million guns in circulation. So when you bump that up and include a lot of first-timers in the population … you get people reacting to small insults and conflicts with their guns because they’re in their pocket now.”

As our kids go #BackToSchool, never forget that we ARE the traffic that we’re using as an excuse. If they walked, biked or rode transit to school, it would erase a massive number of car trips each day, and our kids would be safer, healthier and better at school.
Spread the word.

Cities should be designed for kids.
Not everyone has kids, and that's ok.
But when cities are designed with kids in mind, we end up designing vulnerable-friendly places.
That should be a goal we can all get on board with.

When I see news about gun violence & it’s young victims I wonder if things would’ve been different if our youth weren’t asked to sacrifice & suffer the most during the pandemic. What if we made sure they had safe places, services & programming the whole time?
