    In 2016 he pledged to build 2000 homes per year of which 800 would be affordable, by 2020. On the Council's own figures in 2019/20, 1350 homes were built of which 312 were affordable.

    This leaflet came through my door today claiming to have "achieved all our 2016 pledges and more". This is demonstrably untrue.

    Too little too late from Marvin. Violent protest is not acceptable in a civilised society - period! His ‘nuanced’ response is an insult. Why doesn’t he just condemn these people?

    I urge all those involved in the ongoing protest - that no matter how important and just you feel your cause - that this has descended into mob violence. I believe in wide ranging views being aired on a variety of subjects and yet there is no justification for this behaviour.

    The riot and awful scenes of violence taking place in Bristol this evening are deeply disturbing. There is no place or justification for this behaviour in a modern society. Bristol is a peaceful and tolerant city- these protestors bring shame on the city

    This demonstration in the city is totally unacceptable. We can all have strong feelings about issues but violent protest is an appalling abuse of our democratic system. I hope that the organisers condemn this action in the strongest possible terms.

    Disgusting scenes in Bristol by a mob of animals who are injuring Police Officers, members of the public and damaging property. are attending stations to support officers. We have officers with suspected broken arms and ribs. This is so wrong.
