Yup.

adults look at most natural childhood behavior now as something to be alarmed about, or have to assign some sort of meaning to it rather than just letting the child's growth and development take its course naturally
-
Agreed? And don't even get me started on the fact that we have largely turned to medicating instead of parenting. A high energy kid, can be just that....not automatically adhd. "Junior at 6yo is too hyper. Let's chemically labotomize him..."

Truth.

Medication should be the LAST resort, NOT the FIRST when it comes to attempting to modify a child's behavior. Behavior modification, redirection into high energy activities and an individual education and behavior plan should be attempted initially. How about we just pay
-
attention to the child in a positive manner? Too many parents today I too busy. Often a child hyper behavior is an attempt to get attention. Trying to put some time aside to spend individual time with the child is also something to do instead of throwing him in front of the TV,
-
letting them play endless hours of video games or having the doctor write a prescription
