Maybe they should make female circumcision an elective procedure too. Just to make it equal.

Except those two aren't at all similar. Outside of the name, they have nothing in common. One is cutting a thin layer of skin, which originally started as a hygienic procedure, while the other is cutting off a woman's clitoris to control her and take away her pleasure.

Wrong. Most used forms of female circumcision (type I and ritual nicks) are less severe than typical male circumcision in US. Ritual nicks are actually 1000 times less severe. US circumcision started as a method to curb masturbation among young boys not as hygienic procedure.
