this is a truly amazing moment for @joinClubhouse. SF DA @chesaboudin comes into their convo and is OWNING them. lolololol

Not owning. He’s mainly giving history lessons and complaining about how hard his job is and how broken the system is. Yes, he speaks eloquently and appears empathetic. I’d be more impressed if he had an actual plan and solutions to the problems SF faces.

yeah i definitely agree that he sounds like he's mostly deflecting problems of the system. and at some point he's responsible for how the system works or someone else gets a chance to reform it

At some point?! He’s the DA now.

I mean it's early in his term. you don't blame someone right away for system problems.

Then he should have a detailed plan about his theory of change and form alliances to get it done. He’d rather quote a litany of laws to run the clock out on a convo and seem smart to a crowd.

he did what politicians do best. sounded smart, avoided questions, went on tangents, looked good.

this isn't model UN. winning arguments isn't the point. you have lots of longtime residents complaining about physical safety here. all he did was make excuses

It's easy to get misled by eloquence in place of substance if you're not paying attention, sad that so many journalists (and people in general) fall for this trick.
