Bolsonaro is 64, that's ~4% risk of death; survived a stabbing, will be fine. Trump is 73, that's ~8% risk of death. Morbidly obese, but I don't think he has any major preexisting conditions? Will almost certainly pull through as well. Both will ofc get great medical care.

He'll be fine if they authorize experimental and off-label drugs. Ordinary Americans stuck in hospitals getting only symptomatic care because of ultra-risk-averse practitioners and hospitals trying to maximize revenues will not.

The same in Wuhan. What is more ridiculous is that some doctors take risks to use ineffective drugs but not effective drugs...

I actually doubt it. That's not generally how things work. That said, they'll ofc have medical personnel on standby 24/7, access to the very best hardware, etc.

I wonder if the 25th Amendment will be sprung on Trump if he gets it. I bet Kelly-Mattis-Tillerson would've enacted it were they still inside.

Both are national leaders. That means stress levels unimaginable to normal people, which affect the immune system accordingly.

It's the good kind of stress though. E.g., in primate societies, mortality spikes for alpha males as soon as they *lose* their prestigious positions. Anecdotally, seems true for politics too.
