Tonight is game #50 of my 2+ year DnD campaign. The 88th Layer - The Gaping Maw. Abysm. Demogorgon. For those of you who have rolled for initiative, you know what all this means. As always before the game begins, I'm nervous as hell.

Yes, that's why I'm nervous. No matter how many times I do it (and I've been DMing for 40 years) I always get nervous before the game. I imagine it's like being a stand up comic? When I "bomb" (and I do) I feel awful for days. When I crush it I feel great for a week.
