Out of interest, how did everyone first break into the game industry? And where are you now?? Whether you struggled for years, got a lucky break, or feel like you fluked it. Tweet your replies, I'd love to know!

I was working as an adjunct professor at an art college when I was told about a position at a local game company. They did military simulation games and the owners helped put out one of my favorite games on the Genisis. I feel I lucked out and they picked me because of proximity

I ended up working with them for a couple years and it took over a half a year after I was laid off for me to get another job in the games industry because it was hard to convince anyone that my job experience was actual game experience since it was for the military

Fast forward many years from that and a few different companies later and I’m a senior II artist at Blizzard. Having a good time.
