The mint starts at 12pm ET tomorrow for IlluminatiNFT Raffle Winners and Allowlist Partner Communities (Moonbirds/Proof, JPEG Morgan, WOW, CPG, etc). Public mint is at 6pm ET tomorrow (June 1st).
The mint price is .09 ETH and there are 4,000 NFTs (made from 1,000 photos).

Most of NFT Photography to date has been high priced w/ a low supply. This makes sense as having high price & high supply doesn’t really work.
This drop, which I think will be the first of many like it, is a low mint price w/ a larger than normal supply (for NFT Photography).

David Gahr was present in all the craziest moments of pop culture history with his camera. The ppl he photographed are considered icons in all aspects of life (music, culture, art, politics, etc). And there are 2M photos in his collection - many that have never been seen before.

When the owners of his archive approached us asking how we could do an NFT Photography collection that was unique & special we immediately thought this would be an opportunity to try something new.
Instead of a high price & low supply we flipped it w a low price & higher supply.

This new approach will make NFT Photography more accessible.
It also has a generative feel, more like opening up an NBA Top Shot pack and not knowing which player you are going to get.
If you mint three you may end up with a 1 of 1 David Bowie or a 1 of 5 Bruce Springsteen.

The way I like to think about it, if you believe we will be increasingly spending more & more time on the Internet than having things for your digital space will become more & more valuable.
Why do you buy Jordan sneakers or a Ferrari IRL?

It’s a combo of status, luxury, and enjoyment in the real world.
Similarly in the digital world there are things that show status, luxury, and enjoyment.
You don’t need to believe in a Ready Player One future to think this will be important to people.

I’m excited about the mint tomorrow.
I think this could be one of the first more affordable / well known NFT Photography drops.
I think it could also start more accessible NFT Photography opportunities for collectors.
