Wtf. The tendency to reduce the situation to black and white thinking, (no racist pun intended), like oppressor and oppressed is really broken and unclear. I’m a man, brown and bi. I am both oppressed in one situation and an oppressor in another. Should I speak or not?

-
Depends upon the situation. I as a black man can speak to my struggle as an African american. When it comes to male vs female issues I have to speak to the advantage I get as a man & how those privileges benefit me to the detriment of my female counterparts.
-
I hear you, but I’m so bored of being reduced to boring characteristics like my skin colour, gender and sexuality. I’m not defined by and do not define myself by those criteria, if people want to reduce themselves to such things, more power to them.
-
How you define yourself doesn't matter if society, which can control your life, defines you else wise. So when a system defines you as such you much defend yourself as such. You can desire things to be one way but you must fight them as they are.
-
Then they’ve won, in my eyes. I would never speak on behalf of Indian men, even if I was discriminated against because I am one. I would never begrudge or claim superiority over a white, middle class lady who’s researched Indian male’s issues just because I’m an Indian male.
-
I try not to allow race and gender to govern my judgement of someone’s right to speak or their expertise, otherwise I am no different to the system that behaves in such a reductionist manner. WE are the system, until we change the narrative around ‘identity’, we’ll stagnate.

Here’s why Al Jazeera is antisemitic: AJ+ criticizes white feminism for ignoring the struggles of women of color by 1. focusing on Jewish women as a major part of the problem (
@GalGadot,@amyschumer,@LenaDunham) and 2. featuring Farrakhan friend/fan@TamikaDMallory@ZabMustefa -
you could replace everything
@TamikaDMallory said about white women ignoring the concerns of women of color [a real problem, to be sure] with Tamika ignoring the concerns of Jewish women, and it would be 100% accurate -
Note how
@ZabMustefa is surrounded by Jewish women here, next to the giant question: IS WHITE FEMINISM RACIST? Clearly, Al Jazeera thinks Jewish women are the primary problem. IS AL JAZEERA ANTISEMITIC? YESpic.twitter.com/SG5Fuoifnv

Plus they are Qatari and well they have that whole slavery problem there so I wouldn't be pointing fingers were I them.
-
sounds like youre just islamophobic because it was western contractors that abused workers in qatar and qatar's gov has since cracked down on them and its no longer an issue. typically ppl who scream anti semitism are usually just active islamophobes like
@NuritBaytch -
How am I an Islamophobe?
-
It's a word invented by the Muslim brotherhood to stop any criticism of Islam in any shape or form adopted into English by islamic apologists, effectively primitive apostasy laws. The word means nothing.

I think feminism as a whole is toxic. If people want equality stop making it about just women, or just men, and come together. The problem with feminism is it’s drive towards being sexist, but covering it up with the talk about equality. I just think feminism is wrong period.
-
Feminism is ruining our society for men, and women. If you want a society where things are equal treating people with respect is the place to start. Feminism is basically social engineering to trick our society into attacking each other. It was created to divide us.
-
Treating people with respect sounds gorgeous in theory, but reality is that much of our societies don't know how to parctice it or how to regulate it without oppressing other
-
Therefore it's far more toxic to not give people their basic rights and individual freedom.
-
Which you have in every western country. So thank you for agreeing we don't need feminism!
-
What a sad thinking, assuming that a stranger on the Internet knows what you need.
