I believe that when we look back on the legacy of @chesaboudin he will have done more harm than good to the decarceral movement.
Well the carceral state was indeed a massive failure as it is clear not nearly enough prisons were built to satisfy the demand

Pointing out problems isn’t the same as implementing solutions. I would argue an all-or-nothing approach rather than a gradual weaning will in the end set back this movement, because it’s failure will serve as an indictment of the ideas rather than the implementation.
