Today I saw the Ugly side of #Twitter and deleted a #tweet because I was getting abuse with a lot of individuals bringing up my #Autistic son. Common themes we’re:

They should know better but it's ignorance and lack of empathy. Tight now he's going through tests in yr 5 and bombed in a mock 11+. Didnt understand the questions..Dreading next year.

I can’t see my son doing exams. His 7 so things could changed but I’m just glad he isn’t in mainstream. He straggled in reception let along any other year going forward.

Same Alan. He's not able to take in and assimilate the info but he got given a letter at school inviting yr5 to a norning at a grammar school and insists he wants to go there. We can only play along for so long before devizing a strategy to wean him away. Best wishes
