Bluffs eroding, ice cellars thawing and flooding, archaeological sites (and cultural heritage) thawing and rotting, roads like washboards or washed away, fill collapsing around pilings.

I don’t know what’s wrong with parents! Mine were so eager to get me the polio vaccine as soon as the shots were available. Mom didn’t drive, so we even paid for a taxi to get us to the doctor’s office. She cried with relief afterward.

It’s amazing how Lora Reinbold, a lawmaker, asked be excused from work for breaking the law & then misstated it. You don’t have a constitutional right to private air travel & if you break the law, you get the boot. Doesn’t she stand for personal responsibility & law & order? Ugh!

Not to minimize the horror of 9/11, but those attacks killed 3,000 Americans; at least that many are now dying of COVID every two days. Yet Republican politicians are threatening civil war over requirements for masks and vaccinations?

More Americans died of COVID19 *yesterday* than died on 9/11/01.

One thing that I hate about the whole abortion discussion is the assumption that without intervention every pregnancy would end with a baby. So many don’t. So many things can go wrong, and taking away what little control the pregnant person does have is just inhumane.

Bombshell report from the US Treasury this morning: The richest 1 percent of Americans aren’t paying $163,000,000,000 they owe in taxes each year. (Most other Americans are paying what they owe.)

I would like to see a change in dialogue. Instead of “if a woman gets pregnant” perhaps we say “When a man gets a woman pregnant.” I am sick of our daughters hearing that one phrase & thinking it is ALL on her!

Underlying all this pain about the TX law is the notion that an unintended and/or forced pregnancy by rape or incest is a moral failing of the woman. But random unprotected sex by men is still just fine. That’s part of why most women are angry.

Why is charging $50 for a $6 case of water during a hurricane considered price gouging, but charging $700 for a $5 vial of insulin is considered health care?

I hear you. My fam in Germany has them floating around the house, you can pick a test up for less than $1 at the drug store. What is wrong with North America, why did we miss the boat so much on that?

I can’t believe this is a thing! I live in the UK and test every day before work, I test my kids a few times per week with lateral flow tests… totally free and delivered to my home in boxes of 7 the day after ordering! I am totally shocked at the situation in the US!

The June thru August average temperature at Utqiaġvik was 39.0F (+3.9C). While that's cool by recent standards, it would have been a warmer than average summer for nearly all of the the 20th century.

I can not believe we are witnessing the end of women’s rights tonight in Texas, WTF? Ending doesn’t end abortions, it just ends SAFE abortions. This is just mind blowing and so very wrong. How? Why is this not huge news? What the hell?

Before you assume that a similarity is due to a global super civilization kept secret for centuries by a cabal of thousands of international scholars, ask yourself if there might be a simpler explanation!
