You know I am from South Bend and my family has been in this community for generations. If you dont agree with me you can keep it moving. Please don't harass me. You can disagree elsewhere.
-
No one is harassing you. My family has lived in South Bend for generations also. If you lived here why haven’t you said anything about all those minority officers leaving?pic.twitter.com/cNUG3cYEuh
-
I know many of these officers who RETIRED after years of service. I also know that there have been efforts to recruit young minorities into the force. Guess what no interest from young people who qualify. How do I know this because I've spoken with these officers and leaders.
-
Also the same is true with hundreds of thousands of minority business Grant's available but no minority businesses to give the money to...I'm not talking out the side of my neck.

I don't support Pete blindly our purport him to be perfect. If you read some of my post you will see they are filled with both support and critiques. I will support the dem nominee even if it isn't Pete.
-
I believe Pete has been an EFFECTIVE leader in a red state and has made positive changes in my city. Alot of the others running have bern all talk, no progress and blaming Republicans for their lack of progress. It's one of the main reasons why I support Pete.
-
You don't have to and it may be more effective for you to use Twitter time finding others more aligned with your thinking than with me because I put a lot of time and thought in my decision. Team Pete!

What are they saying and what’s the accurate picture AJ?
-
Alot echo my thoughts that I've shared. They are excited and like Pete. They were talking about the positive changes he made and saying whoever we chose as the next mayor needs to keep moving the city forward like Pete.
-
Are you pleased with the news of his visit to South Carolina? It sounds like he is focused on giving more detail on how he plans to advance opportunities for African Americans
-
I am! I haven't convinced my family in SC to vote for him yet but we have time. Him spending time with people in SC is a step in the right direction.
-
Policy also matters. It shows people that the candidate has ideas on how to improve their lives...wiifm.

How can we help them get it right?
-
I'm not sure. It feels like the press aren't interested in getting it right. Vetting seems to focus on mudslinging and negative.
-
What can we do?
-
Organize a panel of folks to QA and video it out in the world?
-
Any aspiring film folks in South Bend need a project? I could see a young person would do an amazing job with something like this. It would be fab if it was from SB through and through
-
I’m not from South Bend, but I could be down if my travel was covered

-
There. We gotta have a point person/organizer and get travel covered.
-
I wonder if it the short videos just recorded on my phone could work. I can try that first and we could all tweet and retweet to get the message out. Maybe also an opinion piece.
