    H/T 's QuickLook plugin , which made it easy to figure out which of 88 provisioning profiles to delete.

    A second test confirms that "Download All Profiles" does not replace existing. You must delete the offending profile manually. Yay updates?

    I got it to work by manually deleting the cached profile in ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles. Xcode updated immediately.

    Previously I could go to Preferences > Accounts > Manage, delete and re-download a Provisioning Profile after registering a new device.

    Xcode 8.3's new (lack of) interface for managing automatic Provisioning Profiles apparently makes it impossible to force a profile update? 😒
