When I hear the term “Culture” in technology I know your going to not be able to accomodate disability or have even care that my needs and others will be different, when I hear “Cultural Fit” I hear the reason how we got into such a mess in the first place fitting the “Clique”
Seems we talk about “Ethics” in Open Source licensing etc however we can never talk about ethics of accessibility and lack there of historically in projects, when will it ever be possible to have an Open Source Industry that puts access to all as the first fight still occurring?
Maybe so called Ethical licenses are easier to pursue when you do not need to include the ethics of, if me the worker or me the user have the same privilege as you do with the software? Or maybe some peoples ethics dont see disability as a “$$$” cause? Who knows? But it’s odd?
