Could I ask you a kiev question? The shutter button on mine isn't depressing but everything looks okay as far as I can tell.

Hmmm Is the camera cocked? Did you take out the metal security dark slide?

Yep, I actually just fired it (just one more click on the dial) but after re-cocking it's back to how it was. But yea all the steps as far as I know say it should be shooting happily away. So it's looking like a visit to a camera shop.

Yeah the Kiev is kinda weird. It might be best to take it so they can have a look. Where are you based?

Turns out totally jammed. So I have to return it. I bought an extra lens for it so we'll see what I get for that. I also got a lens for a Kiev 60 paid 100 for it plus 30 for customs. Got 30 for it. Fml. I need to just get a dslr and not mess about.

Did they give you any sort of warranty where you bought it?

Nope; but I've got 21 days to return it so I'm sending it back on Monday. I was really looking forward to shooting with it, but just got my hands on a second hand bronica etrs with a 150mm so fingers crossed that'll be a good start to medium format for me.
